In concrete road paving in slab construction, dowels are generally used at the transverse joints for load transmission and for ensuring that the slabs are at the same height, and anchors are used at the longitudinal joints for preventing the slabs from moving apart. In the case of traffic areas for special use (e.g. areas used for aviation), using both anchors and dowels is also expedient.
Concrete road paving in slab construction
Connection of new construction or refurbished areas to adjacent stock
Day connections in new construction
Frictional connection of sliding components (gutter, board) on traffic surfaces
Installation according to ZTV Beton-StB and TL Beton-StB
Securing transverse force transmission, improving load-bearing performance – extending service life
Fluted connection anchorage with off-centre corrosion coating installed with adhesive system prevents panel drift
Smooth-coated dowels, if necessary with dowel sleeves, ensure the absorption of movement between the plates
Dedicated devices: state-of-the-art technology for high daily throughput
Pneumatic hand drilling
Drilling with joint cutter attachment
Multi-drill attachment
Drilling and blowing with oil-free air
Borehole filled with epoxy adhesive
Quality monitoring (sampling test)
Connection anchorage in longitudinal press joint
Transverse joint with built-in dowels
