Aircraft leave rubber or soot deposits that impair friction on wet runways and increase the risk of aquaplaning. This problem intensifies as the frequency of air traffic increases. Our Airport Runway Cleaners are used here to remove these rubber deposits quickly, efficiently and thoroughly. With their generous working widths of 3.20 metres, they enable an extremely high cleaning performance to drastically minimise the closure times for air traffic. This effective cleaning restores runway safety. The main advantages of our cleaning technology, which make us unique, are short evacuation times (< 30 seconds) on runways in an emergency as well as cleaning the runway surface gently while increasing skid resistance to the max.
Tyre abrasion removal (possibly combined with retexturing) can also increase skid resistance on other traffic areas, thus ensuring safety for all road users and significantly reducing the risk of accidents.
